Below, you'll find information about the various facilities and services available to residents at The Engine. This guide covers everything from our café spaces and storage options to wellness rooms and waste disposal procedures.
Each floor is equipped with a kitchenette and cafe space, and has reusable mugs, cups, plates, bowls, and silverware. You can find serving and food prep utensils in the kitchenettes on floors 2, 3, and 4. In addition to standard fair supplies for our coffee machines, The Engine also provides a variety of teas on floors 1, 2, 3, and 4.
You'll find our largest cafe space on the 4th floor which is equipped with cold brew and tap, a seltzer station, two coffee machines, a mini-fridge with non-dairy milk options, and plenty of space to eat, drink, and gather.
We have lots of refrigerator space for food storage, both in the 4th floor cafe and in the kitchenettes. Be sure to label any food going in the refrigerator with both your name and an expiration date using the labels stored on the fridge doors. Any food that is not labeled with an expiration date will be subject to disposal. There is one fridge labeled "Public" in the 4th floor cafe that is designated for shareable condiments, event leftovers, and anything intended for public consumption.
The Engine has lockers and storage options available for residents to rent as an add-on to their currently rented space. Monthly rates vary in price based on size and location of the storage options. If you are interested in renting a locker or storage option please submit an Add/Change Space or Service Form.

The Engine’s policy prohibits anyone from capturing images showing people or user property within private, lockable work areas without the person or user’s advance permission. Additionally, it does not permit the recording of shared team spaces, close-ups of work benches, desks, or confidential IP without the person or user’s advance permission. Continuous or automatic image-capture devices must be set to non-capturing mode while within the premises. Rolling footage is not allowed to be captured in shared work areas. The Engine Accelerator encourages teams to take team photos and headshots throughout the building. Teams are responsible for coordinating their photography needs within the following parameters:
Conference Rooms - Teams may hold photoshoots in conference rooms without advance permission and with no time/day restrictions. Teams MUST reserve the conference room in advance.
Public Areas [Avenues, Lobby, etc.] - Teams must notify the Operations team (operations@engine.xyz [operations@engine.xyz]) 2 business days prior to the photoshoot. Public area shoots will be limited to times that are least disruptive for the community and will be approved based on a variety of factors.
Private Spaces [Labs, Shared Offices, etc.] - Teams must discuss with the Operations team at least 1 week prior to the proposed date. All teams within the space will need to be notified of the photoshoot well in advance, and the photoshoot will be restricted to only include the space rented by the team hosting the shoot.
There is a large-capacity dumpster in the Loading Dock where you can dispose of large amounts of trash. Please be sure to dispose of all trash directly in the dumpster, ensuring not to leave trash beside it.
Cardboard boxes can also be disposed of in the large rolling recycling totes located within the Lab Mail Nooks on floors 2-5.
Please be sure to break down all cardboard and packaging before disposing in the recycling totes or dumpster.
